I was out and about the other day in Murrieta about lunch time and was getting pretty hungry since I didn’t have any breakfast. For some reason, I was thinking about fries. I typically stay away from carbs, especially potatoes, but this thought in my head wouldn’t go away.
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of poutine, but it’s a fries dish that is very popular in Canada. The best poutine in the Temecula Valley that I know of is at the Chef’s Grille in Murrieta. They call themselves a “Gourmet Casual” restaurant.
I asked for extra crispy fries, sliced tri-tip, with a little extra gravy on the side. Poutine will always have cheese curds, which become nice and gooey due to the hot gravy. This dish took care of my craving for fries for a good while. But when that craving comes back, I know where to go!
